We had a hat. Red. Block letters. Make DC Pretentious Again. Legal said no — something about optics, liability, and a strongly worded email from someone’s uncle who does trademark law.
So we made a shirt instead.
Three stars and a bar. A city that has never once apologized for its wine lists, its insulation, or its parking restrictions. DC doesn’t need to be made anything, it already is.
Keep DC pretentious. It’s not a movement. But it kind of is.
