Description
The winged figure has been found carved into rock faces from Japan to Utah to Azerbaijan — etched by people who never met, never shared a language, and had no way of knowing the other existed. They drew the same thing.
Carved into the walls of Fugoppe Cave in Hokkaido, Japan over 2,000 years ago by the ancient Jōmon people. More than 600 engravings cover the cave walls.
Part 1 of 3 in the Petroglyph Series.
